Shiva Subramaniam
Shiva is one of the select few Certified Master Trainers in the world in Edward de Bono’s Six Thinking Hats® and Lateral Thinking™. Master Trainers are certified after careful consideration of their work in creativity and thinking. Shiva is an ardent practitioner of the Six Hats and Lateral Thinking techniques and he is known for his practical, down-to-earth approach to creativity. Shiva is also a Qualified Buzan Instructor (QBI) on Mind Mapping.
He is a freelance trainer and facilitator. He runs a venture called the paperclip. His strength is in helping people think together. He uses a unique process for innovation which helps both individuals and teams. He firmly believes that innovation and creativity are skills that can be learnt.
He has also coached the Indian Cricket Team on creativity using Six Hats and Lateral Thinking.
Shiva is an expert on Indian culture. His work is in the area of differences between Indian culture and other cultures. He has developed a scientific model to understand India and the Indian. He uses humour and story-telling techniques effectively to make people understand the Indian. He consults with customers around the globe on aspects of Indian culture and how to work with Indians. His work is being published as a book.
He worked with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for 18 years. His last assignment was in the Corporate Technology Office of TCS where he was in charge of fostering innovation within TCS. He is now a consultant with TCS. Shiva is also a member of the Tata Group Innovation Forum.
Shiva was a full-time practicing attorney in the High Court at Chennai.
