Military wars are about winning territories. Or safeguarding them. Corporate wars are no different. It’s about winning customers and keeping them for life. Both are trying to achieve goals in a fast moving, dynamic and sometimes hostile environment with scarce resources through the agency of people. Now, given that the boardroom battles aren’t too different from the battlefield, it’s critical that you know to make the right moves. All this and more at the Custommerce National Convention 2012. In many organizational respects, business and war are very similar.

They are both trying to achieve goals in a fast moving, dynamic and sometimes hostile environment with scarce resources through the agency of people. There are some key military lessons that businesses can apply to their day to day workings.

This is what The Custommerce National Convention 2012 is about. It is about learning lessons from the battle field and applying it in the boardroom to keep customers for life. Key lessons in Strategy, Human Resources and Weaponry (read technology and process) will be dealt with by senior service men. To draw a parallel and look at different forms of application, the service men will be backed by practitioners, who have similar years of service / experience in a different battlefield – the boardroom.

Convention format

The National Convention is deliberately designed to offer participants not only the experience of learning, but experience hands-on, the power of executing the learning into action.

Each session will deal with the topic both from battle and boardroom perspective. The battleground conversation will deal with real life situations and frameworks, case studies and best practices where ever applicable. The boardroom conversation will examine how to adapt these frameworks to suit a specific business requirement or objective.

At the end of each session, participants will be invited to share their thoughts, summary of key lessons learnt and some takeaways that participants will implement / work within their organizations.
